During the months of April and May, ROE Dental Laboratory became involved in using our extensive 3D printing fleet to fabricate nasopharyngeal testing swabs due to a national shortage. As a result we were able to build a great relationship with a privately held molecular testing laboratory – CoreBioLabs (a CAP accredited and CLIA certified high complexity reference molecular laboratory located in Ohio.) We are proud to present a complete suite of COVID testing capabilities for your practice.
CoreBioLabs is a CAP accredited, CLIA certified, High Complexity reference laboratory specializing in cancer diagnosis. CoreBioLabs goal is to develop and provide innovative diagnostic tools to improve physician’s capabilities through their urine cytology, molecular and pharmacogenetic testing. Their primary focus is the creation of innovative screening tests that can detect cancers and cancer precursors at their earliest stages, which correlates to less invasive treatments and cures, while decreasing mortality rates. They provide high complexity molecular testing with fast, accurate results and improve personalized medicine by identifying one’s genetic makeup in order to understand responses to specific medications.
CoreBioLabs are CAP and CLIA certified. College of American Pathologists (CAP) is a laboratory accreditation program that is widely recognized as the ‘gold standard’ and has served as a model for various federal, state, and private laboratory accreditation programs throughout the world. The Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) establish quality standards for all laboratory testing to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of patient test results regardless of where the test was performed.

ROE Laboratory, has been building successful long-term partnerships with dentists since 1926. The laboratory began with Mr. Roe Miller, and in 1978 the laboratory changed hands to Mr. Bruce Kowalski. Fast forward to 2001, Bruce’s son, BJ Kowalski, who has been involved with ROE since an early teenager, took over the family business and has been implementing a philosophy of progressive laboratory engagement ever since. This philosophy is directed and fueled through a commitment to our Mission and Core Values.
Since 2007 ROE devoted thousands of man hours and a large financial commitment to become an FDA and NADL approved patient specific medical device manufacturer. The certification that ROE received in September, 2014 is called the Dental Appliance Manufacturers Audit System (DAMAS). Currently, there are roughly 7000 dental laboratories in the United States. Only 40 have achieved the DAMAS certification, placing ROE among the elite laboratories in the US.
